The rules that are not optional

- Interview at the business address, in working hours
- Tell someone at home where you're going, and when you'll message
- Ask about washroom, timing and safety on day one — a good employer respects the question
- Keep your own bank account for your own salary
NEVER
- Pay anyone anything for a job — fee, "file", uniform, anything
- Attend an "interview" at a house, hotel or moving location
- Hand over original documents to be "kept" by an employer
- Accept salary promises that exist only in voice notes
